Throughout the adolescent years it is easy to become lost, to be influenced, and to be overlooked in a variety of different settings. When this occurs, it is understandable why changes in personality, emotive states, and behaviors may occur. Unfortunately, these changes can negatively impact adolescents, as they become a hindrance to their wellbeing, health, and performance.
At Youth Led we wanted to create a community where adolescents can be true to the most authentic version of themselves, as opposed to one that is contrived out of uncertainty, a feeling of not belonging, or being devalued. It is a community like this that gives adolescents the best possible chance to fulfill good health, complete well – being & (maximized) athletic potential.
Whether it is mentoring, presenting, or our online resources, we at Youth Led always provide an environment that is informative, and all inclusive. The adolescents we work with are encouraged to be more aware and involved in decisions regarding their health, wellbeing, and performance. By collaborating on these decisions adolescents begin to build the self awareness and independence that is required to fulfill good health, complete well – being & (maximized) athletic potential.
When we say ‘complete’ wellbeing, by no means are we expecting perfection. Instead ‘complete’ refers to being aware of and understanding all the aspects that make up wellbeing, as well as how they interact with each other.
Components of Wellbeing include:
Is more than the absence of disease, and it goes hand in hand with Complete Wellbeing. Fulfilling good health means investment in the components of Complete Wellbeing.
This has nothing to do with records, championships, or team selections. Maximizing (athletic) potential is all about the quality of your movement / sporting experience, your relationship with competition, and being content with the best version of you.
Our trademark is CARE; we have created a Community for Adolescents that is Relatable, Empowering & Educative
